Design
Due to the collaboration between Honda and GM, the new Prologue shares many design elements from both companies. According to Honda, the body and cabin were designed by them, while the battery and several of the model's amenities were designed by GM.
The new Prologue is several inches longer than the midsize Passport but about seven inches shorter in height. Meanwhile, the cabin has a more simplified design compared to other Honda crossovers. Thus, there are no rounded vents, brightly colored surfaces, or standard design flourishes.
With the increased length, the Prologue offers more legroom than other Honda midsize SUVs and has a larger cargo area, too. Behind the rear seats, there are 25.2 cubic feet of space, though, with the seats folded, this can be expanded to 57.7 cubic feet.
Performance
Two powertrains are offered in the new Honda Prologue. The base powertrain is a single motor with front-wheel drive and 212 horsepower. Then there's the two-motor model with all-wheel drive and 288 horsepower.
With its single-motor setup and its 85.0-kWh battery pack, the EPA estimated the Prologue gets around 296 miles. However, with a dual-motor setup in the EX and touring trims, only 281 miles are achieved. However, the Elite trim, with its dual-motor setup, only gets about 273 miles.
Technology
EV models are known for their robust list of tech, and the new Prologue is no exception. In the cabin, there's an 11.3-inch touchscreen, in-dash navigation with Google Maps, and a wireless smartphone charging pad, which is standard. In higher trims, there's even more advanced tech available, such as a head-up display and a 12-speaker Bose stereo.
Safety
When you're out on the road, the new Prologue will ensure you remain safe thanks to its suite of driver-assistance features called Honda Sensing. With Honda Sensing, drivers will receive automated emergency braking, lane-departure warnings, and more advanced tech such as lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition.
2024 Honda Prologue Trims
There are three trims for the new Honda Prologue:
EX: As the base trim, this model features an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a Google-based infotainment system, and a six-speaker audio system.
Touring: This mid-range trim enhances the EX's list of features with a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, roof rails, and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio.
Elite: The high-end Elite comes equipped with a surround-view camera system, a head-up display, heated windshield wipers, and a household power outlet.
