EG Assurance's Vehicle Service Contract, or VSC, helps you relax by providing additional coverage on top of the factory warranty. Coverages are available to protect you against unexpected repair costs for covered breakdowns on new and pre-owned vehicles.

Factory Limited Warranty

Most factory limited warranty coverage is for a limited number of parts, conditions, and period of time.

Your factory limited warranty covers:
  • Defects in parts and labor for a limited period of time.
  • Basic warranty protection may be limited to specified term/miles.
  • Powertrain warranty may extend beyond basic warranty coverage.

Your factory limited warranty does not cover:
  • Breakdowns caused by wear and tear from ordinary use of the vehicle.
  • Breakdowns caused by wear and tear from climate conditions.
  • Breakdowns caused by wear and tear from road conditions.
  • Breakdowns caused by wear and tear from personal driving habits.

EG Assurance VSC Benefits

Emergency roadside assistance coverage for flat tires, lock out assistance, battery jump starts, emergency gas and fluid delivery, or towing.
Trip interruption reimbursement for meals/lodging if a covered breakdown leaves you stranded away from home.
Rental car reimbursement if your vehicle is in a repair facility undergoing covered repairs.
Nationwide coverage if the vehicle breaks down while away from home. Visit any repair facility for repairs. Just call our toll free number before repairs are started.

Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)

What is GAP?

Guaranteed Asset Protection, or GAP, is designed to protect our customers from financial loss on their vehicle in the event of a total loss.

Understand the 'Gap'

Sometimes accidents occur or a vehicle is stolen. In either situation, our customers may experience a total loss on their vehicle. If this happens to you, an insurance company will only pay for the current market value of the vehicle. However, the current market value of the vehicle may be less than what you owe on the lease or loan. Our Guaranteed Asset Protection product helps cover the 'gap' between what is owed as of the date-of-loss and what the vehicle is worth.

Connect and Protect Your Vehicle

Sometimes unfortunate events out of our control happen during an ownership experience, like the theft of a vehicle. Kahu's GPS/Cellular Technology improves the likelihood that a stolen vehicle is recovered quickly. The system assists law enforcement in recovering a vehicle in the event it is stolen.

Kahu GPS Technology Benefits

  • The Kahu mobile app helps connect you to your car so you can receive notifications about your vehicle's location, battery life, service updates, and more.
  • GeoFence and driving behavior notifications if your vehicle is being driven outside of the speed and location boundaries that you set.

Keep Your Wheels Spinning


EG Assurance's Tire & Wheel Protection provides our customers with repair or replacement of wheels and tires if they become damaged and are unable to hold air due to ordinary road hazards.
Examples of ordinary road hazards include:
  • Potholes
  • Metal parts
  • Wood debris
  • Rocks
  • Composite materials
  • Plastic
  • Glass
Covered parts include:
  • Factory or dealer installed wheels/rims.
  • Factory installed tire-pressure sensors, wheel studs, lug nuts, valve stems and caps, wheel locks and tires with greater than 2/32nd inch tread.
